It began when...

It really began a year ago with a few birdfeeders in a window.

The response was instantaneous...Bluetits, Coaltits, Chaffinches, Bullfinches, occasional visits from a flock of Long tailed tits...to name a few all appeared within minutes.

Photography was the initial aim but very quickly these little creatures cast their spell 

with their acrobatics and hierarchies or um, pecking order, it was...entertaining.

With a cold winter, extra feeders were placed in the courtyard. 

Spending more time there drew attention to the square that, in spite of the tree, seemed in need of an uplift.

                                                       Instinctive urge grow things took hold...
